AMERICANA PHOTO AWARDS Amateur Edition THE CURATED COLLECTION 20262 Snow Clad Rebecca Polonski, Australia3 Melinda Goodall, USA Steve Burkett, USA Colin Page, UK The Curated Collection presents a selection of photography recognized in the 1st Annual Americana Photo Awards, bringing together 292 photographs that explore the people, places, stories and perspectives of contemporary Americana. It has been my privilege, as Director and Chief Curator, to oversee this inaugural edition and bring together a collection of work that offers a compelling portrait of Americana as it is seen and understood today. The Awards bring together an international jury of leading curators, gallerists, publishers, editors, dealers and art directors to recognize exceptional photography and contribute to an evolving record of contemporary Americana. This collection marks the beginning of that record.
