Americana Photo Awards is committed to bringing you world-class Juries selected from the most influential names in the industry. Annually a new jury pool is created to ensure the program's reputation for recognizing first-movers, new emerging talent and current trends across the industry. Jury members are selected by exclusive invitation to join the international panel and sent ballots to log on, review the entries and nominate their selections. Only by having the greatest talent from both sides of the lens do we produce intoxicating and diverse photography collections that reflect the unique stories that shape American life.

Luke Perkins, Group Director, Creative Strategy
Luke Perkins has spent 20 years at the forefront of creative design and strategy, leading a myriad of brands to business success. Group Director of Creative Strategy at The Coca-Cola Company, Luke has worked on brands such as SmartWater, Topo Chico, Vitamin Water and Gold Peak, making them memorable and in-demand. As a keynote speaker, Luke teaches people how they can also make their work memorable and sought-after. Luke completed his BS in Design from The Art Institutes, which served as the foundation of his stellar career in art design and creative strategy. In his very first role as Senior Art Director of Arnold, he played an instrumental role in the “Drivers Wanted” campaign by Volkswagen, amongst several other incredible campaigns he worked on. Luke has also served as Senior Art Director at Modernista!, Executive Creative Director at North, and SVP Creative Director at Arnold. Luke’s work is governed by the principle that work that evokes emotion is successful, and that success can only be achieved by having fun. In each of his roles, he has conceptualised, led diverse teams and endeavoured to make the output the most fun and subsequently striking it can possibly be. His portfolio includes New Balance’s Let’s Make Excellent Happen campaign, The Climate Reality Project with Al Gore, and distinguished work for brands such as Columbia Sportswear, Clif Bar, and Volvo to name a few. Before his current role at The Coca-Cola Company, Luke served as the Vice President of Vacasa. For his extraordinary work over the years, Luke was included in Frontify’s 2023 Brand Visionaries list, which acknowledges creative maestros who have transformed the US branding landscape. He is also a highly sought-after keynote speaker who was invited to speak about creativity and AI at the 2023 Paradigms Summit in Lisbon. Luke Perkins is now available to hire as a keynote speaker at a wide range of events, sharing his expertise in devising creative strategy, technology and AI.

Loni Efron, Founder/ Director
Loni Efron is the founder and director of ilon Art Gallery Collection, she is dedicated to showcasing and uplifting creative voices in all mediums. Her journey began in the early 1990s, when she worked as a black-and-white printer and archivist for Annie Leibovitz. Recognizing a critical need for archival expertise, she founded ilon & Company, Inc., providing specialized services and custom database solutions to top-tier artists and photographers. Her clients include Keith Richards, David LaChapelle, Mark Seliger, Lynn Gilbert, and many more. Loni also works closely with artists and foundations on archiving, technology, and business strategy—helping them monetize and protect their collections. Her archival work has included projects with The Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation, Todd Eberle, Alfred Wertheimer, Richard Gere, Bob Gruen, Joel Meyerowitz, and others, underscoring her deep commitment to preserving photographic legacies. In addition to archival consulting, Loni is an accomplished editor and curator. She has contributed to over 20 books and nearly 100 exhibitions, many of which feature high-profile artists. Her work as photo editor on Keith Richards’ autobiography, Life, earned critical acclaim, and she has contributed to numerous other celebrated publications. Immediately following she edited, Every Night is a Saturday Night for sax man Bobby Keyes. In 2020, she launched a storefront on Artsy to create a truly global platform for accessible art. The NFT Shop followed in 2021, along with ilon.com, which was first launched in 1999. A proud member of Harlem Arts Stroll since its inception after the COVID pandemic, APAG since 2005, and ASPP throughout this century. She is a founding member of Harlem Park to Park and Harlem Days Harlem Nights. Madison Brown, Curator of Photography
Madison Brown is curatorial fellow at Harvard Art Museums and specializes in the history and theory of vernacular media cultures. Situated at the intersection of photo archives and everyday life, her work explores the politics of visual culture through questions of memory, absence, and power differentials. She is especially interested in whose stories get told at an institutional level, by whom, and for whom. At the Harvard Art Museums, Brown prepares interpretive materials for installations and exhibitions, supports teaching in the galleries and the Art Study Center, and consults on her areas of expertise. Before joining the museums, Brown was the 2023–24 Interdisciplinary Fellow at the Block Museum of Art, where she curated A Little Truth: Fact and Fiction in Family Photography.

Christopher Jones, Curator of Photography and Media Art
Christopher Jones is the Stanton B. and Nancy W. Kaplan Curator of Photography and Media Arts at The Ringling. He has been a part of the curatorial team since 2012 and has curated numerous photography and contemporary art exhibitions including Territories: Photography, Space, and Power; Approaching the Border; Hank Willis Thomas: Branded/Unbranded; Coco Fusco: Twilight; Manuel Álvarez Bravo: Specters and Parables; Witness to War: and many others. His most recent major project, the exhibition Metadata: Rethinking Photography in the 21stCentury and its eponymous catalog, explored artists approaching photography as a conceptually expanded practice. Prior to The Ringling, Jones served as Assistant Curator of Prints and Photographs at the University of New Mexico Art Museum. He received his MA in Modern and Contemporary Art History from the University of New Mexico. He has taught courses on the history of art and the history of photography at Eckerd College, St. Petersburg, FL and at New College of Florida, Sarasota.

Joshua White is a presenter and producer on The Art Channel which films and reviews exhibitions of contemporary art. Chitose Suzuki, Senior Visual Journalist
Chitose Suzuki is a Senior Visual Journalist at The Dallas Morning News. Prior to joining the DMN, Chitose worked as a photo editor at the Las Vegas Review-Journal and also worked as a staff photographer at the Boston Herald, The Associated Press and the Boston Globe. During her career, Chitose has covered international and national events and spot news, including Olympic Games, World Series, U.S. presidential campaigns, Miss Universe, Boston Marathon bombing and Las Vegas mass shooting. Chitose studied at the New England School of Photography in Boston after receiving her bachelor's degrees in law from Keio University in Tokyo.
